 Eilleen Regina "Shania" Twain Edwards; born on August 28, 1965) is a Canadian artist and singer. She is the most-sold female artist in country music history. She is she is also among the top-selling artists in the history of music. Her success has earned her numerous awards which included "Queen of Country Pop". [5][6(#6) Billboard declared her the most influential of the 1990s country-pop crossover stars.Raised in Timmins, Ontario, Twain was a singer and songwriter from a young age prior to signing with Mercury Nashville Records in the early 1990s. Her self-titled debut studio album failed commercially when it was released in 1993.After collaborating with producer and later husband Robert John "Mutt" Lange, Twain rose to fame with her sophomore studio album The Woman in Me (1995) and was a huge success. It sold more than 20 million copies across the globe and produced eight singles, which included "Any Man of Mine" and won her an Grammy Award. [10] Her third studio album, Come On Over (1997), became the most-sold studio album by a female act in any genre, as well as the best-selling country album of all time with more than 40 million copies around the world. 12 singles were created by Come On Over which included "You’re still the one" From This Moment On, "That Don't Make Me Feel Pretty" and "Man!" "I Feel Like a Woman!" and won Twain four Grammy Awards. Her fourth studio album, Up! (2002), spawned eight singles, including "I'm Gonna Getcha Good! ", "Ka-Ching!" and "Forever and for Ever", selling over 20 million copies worldwide as well as being certified Diamond in the United States.
