Sean Hannity

Hannity has been awarded many awards and honorary doctorates, including one from Liberty University. Three of his most-read books published in the New York Times are Let Freedom Ring Winning the War of Liberty Over Liberalism and Deliver Us from Evil and Defeating Terrorism and Despotism and Conservative Victory. He also propagated conspiracy theories, such as birtherism (claiming that the former president Barack Obama wasn't a U.S citizen) and the killing of Seth Rich and falsehoods regarding Hillary Clinton's health. Hannity was a partisan of Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential election. Hannity was frequently an unofficial spokesperson for Trump and his supporters, voicing criticism of the media and slamming Robert Mueller's probe into Russian interference in the Trump election. As per reports, he communicated with Trump via phone each weeknight. Trump was on the podium at a rally, as well as White House advisers described him as the "shadow chief of staff." Forbes states that Hannity was the most watched host on cable news in 2018, and was among the hosts with the highest listenership on talk radio. This is due in part to his proximity and accessibility to Trump.
