Peter Hayden Dinklage, /'dINGklIdZborn on June 11, 1969 , and is an American actor. International recognition was gained by his performance as Tyrion Lannister on Game of Thrones (2011-1999) in which he received the Primetime Emmy Award, for Outstanding Supporting Actor in the Drama Series. This is an unprecedented four times. In addition, for his performance the actor also received an Golden Globe Award in 2011 as well as the Screen Actors Guild Award for 2020. Dinklage was a student of acting at Bennington College and performed in numerous stage productions for amateurs. His first film appearance was 1995's dark comedy Living in Oblivion. He was then able to make his big screen debut in the comedy-drama The Station Agent. Elf (2003) as well as Lassie (2005) were the other films he made.
