George Foreman

 George Edward Foreman (born January 10 1949) is an American professional boxer who was also an entrepreneur, minister and author. When he was a boxer, he earned the nickname "Big George" and was a champion between 1967 until 1997. Foreman was an Olympic gold medalist as well as the two-time heavyweight champion in the world. In his capacity as an entrepreneur he is known for the George Foreman Grill.After a troubled childhood, Foreman took up amateur boxing and was awarded the gold medal in the heavyweight category at the 1968 Summer Olympics. After turning professional the following year, he won the title of world heavyweight champion with the stunning knockout in the second round of then-undefeated Joe Frazier in 1973. After twice defending the belt and losing his first professional bout against Muhammad Ali in 1974's Rumble in The Jungle. Unable to find another title, Foreman retired after a defeat to Jimmy Young in 1977.Following what was described as a spiritual epiphany, Foreman became an ordained Christian minister. [5] Ten year later In 1995, he returned and won the unified WBA as well as the IBF heavyweight titles. He defeated 26-year-old Michael Moorer. He renounced the WBA belt rather than face the title fight that was required after. Following one successful title defense against Axel Schulz, Foreman relinquished his IBF title on June 28 on the 28th of June, 1995. At 46 and 169 days old Foreman was the longest-running world heavyweight champion in history. 6. Foreman is the oldest fighter to ever win the world heavyweight championship with major distinctions and is also the second-oldest fighter at any weight class, after Bernard Hopkins (at light heavyweight). He quit in 1997, aged 48. He had a final record of 76 wins (68 knockouts) and five loss.
