Emily Deschanel

The debut of Deschanel's feature film was in 1994, with her romantic comedy-drama "It Could Happen to You", which her father shot. Her next big role was that of Pam Asbury in Stephen King's horror mini-series Rose Red in 2002. She then appeared in Cold Mountain and The Alamo and Glory Road. Interview Magazine identified her as one of six actresses to keep an eye out for in 2004. In 2005, Deschanel was cast in Dr. Temperance Brennan alongside David Boreanaz who plays FBI agent Seeley Booth in Fox's crime procedural comedy-drama Bones. The Fox series is based on Hart Hanson's novels and the career and academic Anthropologist Kathy Reichs. The show was on for 12 seasons, from September 13, 2005 to March 28 in 2017. In recognition of her work, she earned a 2006 Satellite Award nomination and a 2007 Teen Choice Award nomination. At the beginning of the third season, Deschanel was co-producer alongside Boreanaz. They became producers midway through the fourth season. Deschanel and Boreanaz co-produced at the beginning of Bones season three, prior to becoming producers in middle of the fourth. Deschanel with Jaime King and Katharine McPhee hosted a video slumber party on FunnyorDie.com in order to encourage regular breast cancer screenings and to support Stand Up 2 Cancer. The passion she has for animal welfare inspired her to provide narration for My Child Is a Monkey as well as she was an associate producer on the documentary film How I Became an Elephant. 8 Deschanel placed 72nd in The 2012 Hot 100 on After
