He plays as a forward and also captains the Portugal national soccer team. He is currently a non-restricted free agent. Ronaldo is widely recognized as one the greatest players ever. He has won five Ballon d'Or Awards[note 3], and four European Golden Shoes. This is the only European player to win these prizes. In his playing career, he has won 32 trophies, which include seven league titles as well as five UEFA Champions Leagues.
